Zeee Reh-noh

That is my attempt at a written French accent.  Not bad?!  I know what every blog reader has been thinking, boy Nick must really be needing a new project by now.  Well, you are in luck!  In his lastest wheel and deal he was able to sell the Nissan Pathfinder he had completely rebuilt and get a smokin' deal on a Chevy Tahoe from our neighbor.  When all was said and done he even had a little cash left over.  Can't let that cash get you down so luckily he stumbled upon a classic car headed for the scrap.

We are now the proud owners of a 1957 Renault.  All in all the car is pretty rust free and complete.  All the glass is intact and it even came with some extra doors, wheels and other miscellaneous items.  Searching for Renault items online is Nick's new obsession and just a month or so into the car he has scored some great stuff.  He even found a guy south of Salem with a ton of random parts (trans-axle etc) that Nick, his Dad and Gunnar trekked out to grab for little cash.  You can get an idea of just how small these cars are in that all the parts they picked up were able to fit in the back of the Honda Pilot.  Not the whole back, just the back back.  Behind the middle seat.  Serioiusly!

Nick is now in the process of taking it all apart (you can just roll out the engine and all connected parts on these things!), cleaning it up and seeing where it may be from a mechanical standpoint.

Some pics of the project in process:

And the 30 year dream goes something like this!
