Ramdom Cuteness (Piper 4 months)

Managed to snap some random shots of the circus in full swing!

Christmas Traditions

Gunnar is all about Christmas this year.  He has his wish for Santa and the advent calendar in full swing.  We were bummed to be too under the weather to make a friend's birthday in Seattle last weekend but it did give us time to go to breakfast with Santa and get out tree!

We made breakfast with Santa on the early side this year and thankfully it was not such a zoo.  G got his message in for a pogo stick and Pip Pip took it all very much in stride:
After Santa we hit up the local tree farm for a quick tree grab.  We hadn't planned on it so G didn't have his gloves and of course he left his coat in the car but we got it done.  The gentleman at checkout even commented on our efficiency!
Then of course we decorated:

So Thankful

We were really blessed this year and Pop Pop was able to make it in from his job in NYC, as well as the Aunt and Uncle plus Mom in law too for Thanksgiving.  Gigi was kind enough to host which was great for me and the kiddos as we could pop in and out as naps/moods permitted.  The London boys even managed to get in a round of golf with the unseasonably beautiful weather!

Barber Day

Today Gunnar had his very first haircut at the barbers!  There is a place in Sandy called Local Buzz where kids can sit in a monster truck, watch cartoons, get juice and popcorn while getting their haircut.  G loved it and his hair looks great.  The stylist even congratulated on my work to date with his hair.

Jump Around

We went to a super fun birthday party at Precision Elite Gymnastics last weekend and Gunnar (and Pip Pip) had a blast!  The instructor was really great and patient with the kids (and parents!).  When I finally poured G into the car all he could say was "boy, that was fun!" and then proceeded to fall asleep, which he never does.

Getting Crafty! Larch Mountain 2013

It is that time of year again, Larch Mountain Country Artisans annual show and sale is November 22 - 24th in Troutdale.  This means Nick is in high art making gear.  Thankfully his studio assistant had a clear calendar to be helping out!

Piper 3 Months!

I cannot believe our little Pip Pip hit 12 weeks last Monday.  Unbelievable how quickly the time has gone by and what an absolutely wonderful baby she is!

Zoo Trip

Gunnar went with his daycare to the zoo yesterday and had a blast!  The new baby elephants were on display and a huge hit.  G also said he really like the bats and according to his daycare provider the seal was a huge hit.  She snapped some really great shots:

Visit From Grammy

My mom came out for an extra long weekend to meet Piper and play with Gunnar.  Despite it being a whirlwind trip, a great time was had by all.

Since we were already in Portland to pick up my mom from the airport I figured we would forgo nap and hit up the Children's Museum before heading up the mountain.  There was a new Dora and Diego exhibit and we all had a great time!

Later in the week we also went to the Portland Aquarium.  It was such a treat to be able to go during the week, there was practically no one else there and the fish were actually hungry and excited to eat.  Gunnar was feeding the stingrays and one got so excited it nearly jumped completely out of the water and splashed him really good.  He screamed and then we all got a good laugh!

Piper is still working through her mom mom attachment issues but she did get in some nice playtime with Grammy too:

When not on the go there was really just a lot of fun had by all:

Can't wait for the next visit!

Piper 9 Weeks

So much to post and so little time!  Want to officially record Piper's 2 month check up - she weighed in at a whopping 9lbs 9 ozs and was 22.5 inches long with a 37.5 inch head.  And of course totally gorgeous!

We all knew we were in for it when the oral medication caused a total meltdown.  As suspected she lost it when it was time for the shots.  My poor baby!  It is so awful to have to hear that terrible, they are trying to kill me!, cry.  The rest of that day she was exhausted and clingy.

Here we are working on the recovery:

Piper 8 Weeks Young

Hard to believe that Piper is two whole months old now!  She is such a joy and we are so thankful.  Here are a few cute pics of the princess:

Pumpkin Patch Fever

Fall in the Northwest means Pumpkin Patch MADNESS!  I am still searching for that perfect place for Gunnar to spend his "daycare day" on Fridays.  I am now having him stay with a girlfriend and her kids.  Today they went to the pumpkin patch and she snapped some great pictures!

Now they are hunting pumpkins in her yard and having pizza for lunch.  He may never want to come home!
