Boat progress

Nick and his dad are making great progress on the wooden boat restoration project. Removing all the old, cutting out all the rot are all done and now it it on to the finishing touches. In true Nick fashion is is going to be both beautiful and functional:

Livin' On Tulsa Time

Finally, highlights from our trip to Tulsa this summer. It was hot, it was sticky, it was amazing! The blend of being able to experience the "new" Tulsa with "old" friends and my fabulous family made for a wonderful trip. Seeing my kids have so much fun really made it amazing. Hopefully we can do it again next year! And these are only the ones from my phone, I have more on the camera...

The Tulsa zoo was amazing when we were kids and now it is simply amazing! There happened to be a dinosaur exhibit while we were there so of course G was in heaven:

We got to have a old school friends and their kiddos get together at my friend's place/family property and as usual they didn't disappoint. Pool time, beast rides and a peacock. It just doesn't get any better!

My mom dug out an old game of mine that involves catching plastic grasshoppers and just like it was for me, it was a huge hit:
The park closest to my parent's house has really upgraded over the 5 million years since I was a kid. Complete with splash pad! We didn't come prepared with suits but as Piper clearly demonstrates, a little lack in planning never stops us:

I will stop the photo deluge with this last video. G's great aunt gifted him with a bubble gun and it was sooo much fun!

River Babies

I recently started moving my pictures from my phone onto my desktop (hence all these posts) and these pics are from this summer and just too beautiful to not share. My beautiful babies in this amazing place we are so blessed to call home:

Goooooaaaallllll

Gunnar started soccer a couple weeks ago and he loves it! Not only that but with only two sessions under his belt he has greatly improved. And he has ignited his love for the game. Go Portugal!

 Action shot....

Piper's first haircut

Piper's hair is loooong. And curly. And (shocking since she is such a sweet little thing;)) she hates to have it brushed. Add that all together and you get one snarly haired little princess. Every time G gets a cut I encourage her to get in the chair in the hopes she will let them cut it.

Well, the time had come. So with much cajoling we got it cut. Just a little off the ends and it looks great! She liked the popcorn, juice and cartoon part of the cut but when it came to having to do what the hairdresser asked well I'll let the pictures tell the tale:

End of summer FUN

The weather remained fantastic through September and so has the fun!

We got to visit with friends who got a new tire swing:
G and I made it to the company picnic at SkiBowl again this year and and had a blast! Having the party later in the summer meant way less lines and gorgeous weather:

Gunnar really loved the trampoline jump and was flipping better than the big kids:
Last but not least we have gotten a chance to enjoy the parks a lot as well:
