Zoo Trip

Gunnar went with his daycare to the zoo yesterday and had a blast!  The new baby elephants were on display and a huge hit.  G also said he really like the bats and according to his daycare provider the seal was a huge hit.  She snapped some really great shots:

Visit From Grammy

My mom came out for an extra long weekend to meet Piper and play with Gunnar.  Despite it being a whirlwind trip, a great time was had by all.

Since we were already in Portland to pick up my mom from the airport I figured we would forgo nap and hit up the Children's Museum before heading up the mountain.  There was a new Dora and Diego exhibit and we all had a great time!

Later in the week we also went to the Portland Aquarium.  It was such a treat to be able to go during the week, there was practically no one else there and the fish were actually hungry and excited to eat.  Gunnar was feeding the stingrays and one got so excited it nearly jumped completely out of the water and splashed him really good.  He screamed and then we all got a good laugh!

Piper is still working through her mom mom attachment issues but she did get in some nice playtime with Grammy too:

When not on the go there was really just a lot of fun had by all:

Can't wait for the next visit!

Piper 9 Weeks

So much to post and so little time!  Want to officially record Piper's 2 month check up - she weighed in at a whopping 9lbs 9 ozs and was 22.5 inches long with a 37.5 inch head.  And of course totally gorgeous!

We all knew we were in for it when the oral medication caused a total meltdown.  As suspected she lost it when it was time for the shots.  My poor baby!  It is so awful to have to hear that terrible, they are trying to kill me!, cry.  The rest of that day she was exhausted and clingy.

Here we are working on the recovery:

Piper 8 Weeks Young

Hard to believe that Piper is two whole months old now!  She is such a joy and we are so thankful.  Here are a few cute pics of the princess:

Pumpkin Patch Fever

Fall in the Northwest means Pumpkin Patch MADNESS!  I am still searching for that perfect place for Gunnar to spend his "daycare day" on Fridays.  I am now having him stay with a girlfriend and her kids.  Today they went to the pumpkin patch and she snapped some great pictures!

Now they are hunting pumpkins in her yard and having pizza for lunch.  He may never want to come home!

Taking Seattle By Storm

Gunnar was very lucky and got to accompany Gigi and Pop Pop on a quick trip to Seattle this weekend.  Everyone was really great and sent me tons of pics so it was like I was there!  It is so funny in this day a "smart" everything and connectedness pictures were being texted, posted on Facebook and emailed as if a live feed.  It was really great for a mama that was missing her kiddo!

So many great shots of the fun he had!

One of his favorite things is to "play" with are his Aunt and Uncle's kitties.  He wasted no time!

They hit up a pizza joint for dinner.  Yum!
And then a walk around town.  His Uncle reports he was hoping to see the Wheedle on the Needle but no luck.  Next time they will be sure to bring the binoculars!

He also helped his Aunt out with his flower arranging expertise:

Tested out the local playground:
And ten last but absolutely not least, he got to go on his Uncle's boat to bring in the crab pots.  Which had crabs in them.  Woo Hoo!  He has been asking to go on his Uncle's boat and crab since he was old enough to understand.  I am so very happy for him to have gotten to go on this trip!

A Little More Cuteness

Looks like I may be getting 30 minutes out of this nap round, so here are a few cute pics to tide you over!

Gunnar indulging in his angry birds obsession:

Miss Piper Alexandra aka Wiggles in all her wiggly glory:

No Sleep Till Brightwood

I have been wanting to post more to the blog, but Piper has other plans.  She is a weird baby in that she only naps 15-30 minutes at a time.  Glad she is refreshed so quickly, LAME for a mama who wants to get anything done that could actually involve two hands.  Lucky for her she is so cute!

We are currently calling her our "little shoulder monkey" as that is her favorite napping spot as seen here:
Lucky for us Daddy is home too so G still gets attention from his favorite playmates.  Here he and daddy are busy making rocks for Nick's rock stacks.  The Larch Mountain Country Artisan's show is next month so the pressure is on!
