And in this corner...

Weighing in at 11 pounds 14 ounces and 24 inches long...Gunnar Jack London...and in the other corner..Geoffrey the stuffed girafe:

$5 on the slobbery one!

We took Gunnar for his next round of boosters today and he is not solidly in the 25th percentile from head to toe:

He has more than doubled his birth weight which is good since that should happen by 6 months and he is only 4.5 months.

The shots have thrown him off and he is now rocking with Papa to give Mama a break. My back is killing me after the last hour of rocking! Still think he is a keeper though.

London Love

We have been super fortunate this week to have Grandma London visiting. She has gotten a chance to enjoy Gunnar and give Papa a much needed break which has been wonderful.

This weekend we had more of the London crew come visit and it was a blast!

Here is most of the crew (Grandma took the pic) enjoying the new sofa bed:

Gettin' it done

The Cub Cadet is sadly out of action right now but Nick's friend Tom was kind enough to loan him his skidder to clean up the side yard. Here are some shots of Nick in heaven:

Indian Summer

Today marks the second day of seventy degrees with clear blue skies on the mountain. Oh...this is what summer was SUPPOSED to be like! To celebrate I went out and harvested more blackberries this afternoon. These are going to be a welcome remembrance of summer come this winter!

Granted I had on jeans and a black tee but I even started to sweat! Just a faint glimpse of those Oklahoma summers growing up swimming in ponds and licking blackberries. I can't wait for Gunnar to have wonderful Oregon summer memories!

Homegrown Labor Day

For the long weekend we made a wonderful homegrown meal with a chicken we had raised and a cobbler from the blackberries we picked. Gunnar was wanting to get in on the action too but I think his eyes may be a bit bigger than his stomach:

Its a Bird, Its a Plane..

The other day Nick texted me that Gunnar was giggling in his sleep. I think he was remembering how much fun it is to fly!

And there is more

Here you can see two other projects currently in the works at London Acres. Nick is working on a wood shed plus putting down bark dust on half the backyard:

Takin' Care of Business

While Papa took down the trees Stinkus and I manned the computer working from home:

Timber

Today we finally had the dead trees in the side pasture taken down. The tree climber who did it was at least 60 and definitely gave Nick a run for his stamina's money!

This guy can't figure out what happened to his home. It was right over here...
