Too Pooped

We are in perpetual teething hell these days with Pip Pip.  One day I came home to a fussed out baby and exhausted Daddy laid out on the living room rug:

Wet N Wild

A few weeks ago the kiddos and I needed a weekend adventure so we packed up and headed to the aquarium.  Luckily it was not too terribly crowded and was a big hit as usual.

There were tons of cool critters in the tanks and our octopus friend put on a great show:

We fed the stingrays and lucked out that they were super hungry.  Or maybe just really loved splashing the kids that day!  Piper even loved getting her hands down to pet them and being splashed:

At the end of the aquarium they have an aviary too with a climbing kids jungle.  Gunnar really enjoyed that (possibly the most!) as well.  It was obvious it had been a while since our last visit since last time G was too scared to climb up to the top of the jungle.  In fact I even had to go in and rescue him!  This time he was like a little monkey all over the place and recruiting other kids to help with building projects.

Randomness

Pip Pip is getting bigger and more adventurous by the day.  She even finally has her first two teeth sprouting!  Gunnar is proving himself to be a very capable four year old and big brother.  Without a doubt they keep us on our toes.

Mirror Lake

My girlfriend and I took the kids on the Mirror Lake hike on the last day they were here.  It was a long hie but everyone survived and we did make it all the way to the lake!  We were so lucky as the weather was absolutely gorgeous the entire time they were out (as I type with the furnace on).

It was wonderful that Gunnar's birthday feel on Memorial Day this year so I was able to spend the whole day with him.  We left Pip Pip with Gigi and Pop Pop and went bowling to celebrate the big day.  It was Gunar's first time bowling and he did great (with a little help from the ramp)!  Nick even put the bumpers up for me and I hit my highest score ever! 

After bowling we hit up McDonald's for lunch and Gunnar ruled the slide.  To show how often we go to McDonald's, last time I was there with G he was super hesitant to even climb the structure!

Birthday Bash - Gunnar is FOUR

We went the boncy house route again this year for Gunnar's fourth birthday party and it was a blast! It was made even more special by a visit from my best friend since grade school and her family. There was bouncing, tractor rides and cupcakes galore!

Ready Set Crawl

Piper has been perfecting her crawl as of late and it is looking pretty good. She still prefers to stand and try to walk but every once and a while she really gets her crawl on. Like this:
